Responsibilities

You will be required to work with us on the content plan, reach out to people, talk with them, interview them, encourage them to write and support them through their difficulties in this process, and of course, write yourself.

Personal Attributes and Necessary Skills

Highly self-motivated

An empathic ear, great listening skills and a commitment to supporting others

Ability to write simply but clearly & intelligently - at the moment, we’re only publishing in English, but if you would like to bring other languages into this mix, you are most welcome

Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and differing opinions

Qualifications

We’re agnostic about education in general, and are more interested in your life experiences, your commitment to mental health, ability to think critically and to convert thought into simple, helpful words.

In general, you can use this as a guide, though it is by no means exclusionary:

Masters in subjects such as Literature, History, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Philosophy, Public Policy, Economics, Fine Arts or even an MBBS are welcome!

A background in psychology is not required, nor preferred, but a previous engagement with mental health and an interest in promoting psychological well being is paramount.

Preferred Experience and Skills

Previous experience with working at publications or magazines

Work at mental health related organizations

Social Media proficiency - we go back and forth on this

Understanding of web analytics, using Squarespace

Multimedia proficiency (audio and/or video)

The field of mental health is changing everyday. New research, new efforts are becoming more visible. You must have an interest to seek this out, a willingness to explore the new and learn quickly as we grow.

Location

Preferred Delhi, but working remotely is acceptable.

Remuneration

Based on your qualifications and experience, along with the work, effort, time and ideas that you would like to dedicate to TSC, a full-time salary can range between Rs 25000 - Rs 35000 per month. Part-time and other arrangements are also welcome, and will be compensated accordingly.

People wanting to volunteer their time, effort, ideas are (obviously and enthusiastically) welcomed.
